North Yard Economics was founded by a group of successful economists to offer high-quality, cost-effective advice and statistical analyses to governments and non-government organizations in developing countries. Having benefited ourselves from global economic growth, we feel it is our obligation to assist emerging economies, albeit in a modest way, as they cope with issues of domestic development and international integration.
Our Mission
We are trying to fill a gap in the market between advice offered by official agencies and the services of large consulting firms. Where official agencies attach conditions or a political agenda to their assistance, we attach none. Where big firms charge millions in overhead and travel costs, we charge none. Where other consultancies supply seemingly endless projects based on the work of recent college graduates, we supply only self-contained analyses completed by a small group of experienced economists with doctorates from Harvard University.
Our Pledge
We do not accept corporate clients or projects in wealthy countries. We
spend all our time working for clients in the developing world. Because of
our no-overhead, no-travel working style, we cannot accept all types of
projects. We will never accept a project that is beyond our means or
resources.
